As one of the young people that grew up in SOS Syria’s care, Zain, 21, is a genuine example of excellence and hard work. As he grew up, Zain moved through all the stages of care at SOS Children's Villages Syria, transitioning from childcare to youth care, and later began his journey towards full independence in 2021.
With the support and guidance of the Youth Care Service, Zain excelled in his studies, graduating from high school in 2023 and enrolling at Damascus University to study psychology. The young man’s ambitions went beyond his university studies as he developed a keen interest in programming and networking. He completed several advanced training courses in programming languages and earned numerous certifications to support his academic journey. In addition to his academic achievements, Zain obtained a Robotics Trainer Certificate from the Distinction and Creativity Agency.
Zain chose to be committed to his SOS community, training children in Qudsaya Village to participate in the national robotics Olympics.
Given the importance of supportive an inclusive development, the Youth Care Service still encourages Zain to develop his skills in various the specialties of his interest. Nowadays, Zain takes a first-aid course, enhancing his ability to be self-reliant and prepared for any emergency. Zain's story is a testament to determination and success. Thanks to the continuous support, he has been able to achieve his dreams and step confidently closer towards a successful future. The fruits of our teams' efforts are seen in the success of our children and young people in various fields, as they lead their lives with determination and perseverance. We are proud of Zain and wish him further success in his life.
