Youth Care Program offers Semi-Independent Living service (SIL) to support transition to independent life for young people above 18 years old

Semi-Independent Living is the second service provided in the Youth Care Program. It targets young people in the transitional stage of moving from alternative care environment to their own independent life. These young people no longer require the support of caregivers but are not ready for independent living. Support and preparation take various forms according to the young person's needs and circumstances, including financial support, housing, healthcare, and educational support. This support gradually decreases as the young person matures and acquires more independence.
